Midnight Fried Rice with Komodo Black

Named for its deep, dark color from Komodo Black's Indonesian soy base, this fried rice is a complete meal that comes together in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups day-old rice
  • 3 tablespoons Komodo Black sauce
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, corn, carrots)
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Protein of choice (shrimp, chicken, or tofu)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over high heat. Scramble eggs and set aside.
  2. Add more oil if needed. Stir-fry garlic and vegetables for 2 minutes.
  3. Add rice, breaking up any clumps. Stir-fry 3-4 minutes until heated through.
  4. Pour Komodo Black over rice and toss vigorously to coat evenly.
  5. Return eggs to wok. Add sesame oil and green onions. Toss to combine.
  6. Serve immediately with extra Komodo Black on the side.

Day-old rice is essential — fresh rice will turn mushy. The Komodo Black replaces both your soy sauce AND your hot sauce in this dish, simplifying your pantry while elevating flavor.
